Peterhouse College Cambridge secures biotech group for 40,000-square-foot Cambridge office

The letting is the largest Cambridge bio-tech deal of year so far

Peterhouse College has signed biotech company 4basebio for the 36,488-square-foot Q-Arc at Bar Hill in Cambridge.

4basebio has signed a 15-year lease from 3 March 2026, for the whole property, with a break option at 10 years and 5-yearly open market rent reviews, at a headline rent of £19 per square foot.

The letting is the biggest bio-tech deal in the Cambridge market in the first quarter of 2026.

The building is a recently refurbished two-storey commercial property at Bar Hill, on the edge of Cambridge and beside the A14.

4basebio makes synthetic DNA for use in cell and gene therapy development.
